OK, here's my favorite part. I'm a REAL food lover! And Vancouver and Richmond are THE place to be for people like me. We are so lucky to have absolutely mind-blowing world-class food, chefs and restaurants here at prices that don't even come close to places like New York and LA.
If al-fresco dining is what you're after, check out the great patio at Bridges at Granville Island.
There's a great Jazz/Pizza/Pasta place in Yaletown called Capone's. Yaletown is a great area to discover; you could eat dinner at a different place every day for a month and still not run out of options down here. Very popular with the young-hip-professional crowd!
We have some of the world's BEST sushi. Try Tojo's or En, both in the South Granville area. In Richmond my pick for Japanese is Maru-wa at Ironwood Mall.
Everyone should indulge in a bit of Fine Dining even if only once in a while. Star Anise or West in South Granville are both great as is Bishop's and Lumiere in Kitsilano.
The neighborhood I live in, Steveston Village has a plethora of fine and casual dining restaurants. If you're in the mood for great Greek food there are no less than four restaurants to choose from. Seafood? Indian? Chinese? Sushi? We have all of that too. And the views are terrific.
Just looking to grab a beer and some wings? Perhaps you'll run into me at the Flying Beaver near the South Terminal of YVR or the Buck and Ear Bar in the Steveston Hotel!
